Peter Finger has been in his position as the Mayor of the City of Bonn since 2004.

 

After his Sociology studies at the University of Bonn, he worked for three years for the seminar for sociology.

 

From 1985 to 2002 he was the parliamentarian Director of the   Green party in the Kreistag Rhein-Sieg. He was a member of the advisory board of the City of Bonn for several years. A position he held till he became the party speaker in 1999.

His main theme in his political field is anti-corruption and financial politics.

 

A Native of Sauerland, Mayor Finger is also a partner of a consulting firm and personnel of the solar electricity company. His other engagement is a project manager for a country wide image campaign for solar energy.

 

Mayor Finger has been a representative  for an educational association since 1986. Trained in other comunication, he also has knowledge in English and French.
